In partnership with Mathias Dowers, we studied each others behaviours and habits related to the chosen chore.
I noted how the possibility of spills increased anxiety, so I began investigating how an object might reinforce the idea of successful outcomes while expediting the process.

As part of my Human Centred Design course at OCAD University, we were partnered up and tasked with developing solutions for unpleasant household chores.
The CoMPound Roller is a concept for a pressure-sensitive domestic garbage dolly designed from direct user observation. The incorporation of a weight-triggered bulb alerts the user to the fullness of their bin before removal. As a result, the user is provided a higher degree of mobility and comfort in the trash removal process, and no longer has to worry about the potential for rips and tears due to an unexpectedly heavy load.
